Senator Clinton happens to be a woman. This fact should not, in a fair society, matter in terms of her presidential nomination bid. However, it damn well SHOULD matter when she is taking money from a company who has been accused of blatant and repeated sexual harassment of its female employees!! It does not matter if the company is innocent or not; that is for the court to decide. The fact of the matter is that the mere possibility that they can be found guilty should have her running in the other direction.
Now, before anyone tries to point it out, the Obama camp did indeed accept a much lower donation from an employee of this company and his wife. To their credit, they have returned the employee's money. To the head scratching disbelief of those watching though, they still kept the wife's two grand saying something about her not being part of the company. Uhm, splitting hairs Barack and you really don't want to start doing that until AFTER you have a seat in the White House.
So, what is the deal with Hilary and this money? Her husband goes on enough speaking engagements to make up that difference with ease. Why keep the money? This could very well cost her the nomination in the end because a lot of women feel as if she is victimizing them all over again. I feel that as a guy, so why can she not feel that as a woman?
Ciao.
