Let the blame game begin. Let the tragedy teach!

We eventual want a house that can hold all of our crap (less the crap we really should get rid of) and we would very much like that house to have a pool. The issues with pools, besides the maintenace and energy in heating and upkeep, is safety. There is supposed to be a proper fence, that auto locks, around the pool. One should keep all toys out of the pool so that kids are not tempted to go in to retrieve them. Since the technology exists, why not set one of those floating alarms in the water to notify someone when something falls into the water (like a helpless child)?

Too many children are dying each year in pool and other water related incidents. I say incidents and not accidents because most of these "acdcidents" could have been easily prevented. You hate to jump on the parents and people in charge of the kids at the time but really, who else do you hold responsible?

In this story, the place they were at CLEARLY states that there are no lifeguards and that the parents are solely responsible for lookign after their kids. Well, like so many tv tube watching kids, their parents were not paying attention and all three boys end up in deep water and were drowning before someone noticed one of the boys and dragged him out. Then and only then did someone say there were two more brothers. These two were also brought out of the water and CPR was performed on all of them. One is in fair condition now.

The other two have died; one succumbed at the time of the tragedy, the other succumbed after a battle in the hospital to save him. As a parent, one is always trying to ensure that your children do not die before you. You would lay down your life to save them without hesitation. A little diligence would have prevented this family tragedy. Now, they have lost two sons and the surviving son has lost his two older brothers.

He is going to need a lot of therapy in the years to come. Let's home they can prevent a third tragedy in the family in the future when what is lost today fully hits this eight year old.

Parents, watch you kids! Accidents are simply events that could have been prevented. Don't let something happen to your family that I have to blog about later. Don't let this kind of pain happen to you and yours.

Peace.
