Not every thing is painted with the same brush

For good reason, the Jane and Finch corridor has been painted with a negative light. The numerous shootings, the death of a student IN the high school, the apparent cover up of similar incidents at the same school... there is a lot to perpetuate the stereotype of those who choose, or ar forced, to live there. My geography teacher, a Mr. Lennox Farrell, lives in the corridor and was a great mentor to me in my formative teenage years. So to should the young man in the linked story be to those at a crossroad of what to do next as they grow in this area. You are not destined to be bad; the road just looks easier down that way. Choose to be different.

Peace.
