Hopeful Harold, no more.

So as the saying goes, there is your side, their side and the truth. Anyone who watched TV in the Toronto GTA knows about Harold Hosein. The middle-aged gentleman from Trinidad was a fixture on the six o'clock news for many years and also reported from many cultural events including the annual Caribana parade. CityTV has a history of releasing the old for the new so it is hard to gauge the truth in this story. The fact that another middle-aged, Trinidadian-born lady was sacked recently certainly raises enough eyebrows to make you wonder what is going on.

Anyhow, he will be missed, though can still be heard on the radio. We wish him well in his future endeavours.

Ciao.

BTW, I call him Hopeful Harold because one year Mother Nature just would not cooperate and screwed all the weather people up with their predictions. Since I only watch CityTV for my news really, he is the only one I nicknamed.

he was sacked too. the story about him leaving to 'pursue other interests' is just saving face. they fired him with no notice at all.
