Raptors' GM make the easiest moves look complicated.

RAPTORS EXERCISE OPTION ON BOSH

(June 27, 2005) -- The Toronto Raptors announced Monday they have exercised their contract option on forward Chris Bosh. Bosh is now signed with the team through the 2006-07 season. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Chris showed tremendous development both as a player and a leader last season," said Rob Babcock, Raptors general manager. "He has proven to be a key performer for us and we look forward to even bigger things from him in years to come."

RAPTORS MAKE QUALIFYING OFFERS TO BONNER AND SOW

(June 24, 2005) -- The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have extended a qualifying offer to forwards Matt Bonner and Pape Sow making them restricted free agents. This provides the Raptors with the right to match any offer for Bonner and Sow's services.

Bonner, 6-foot-10, 240 pounds, averaged 7.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 18.9 minutes in 82 games with Toronto last season. He was acquired from the Chicago Bulls during the 2003 NBA Draft in exchange for a second-round pick.
