Maybe a challenge, MsM?

Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 is now FREE! by ZDNet's George Ou -- A few months ago when VMware released a free VMware Player, I challenged Microsoft to do the same. Not only has Microsoft answered, but they've gone a step further and made their Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise Edition FREE!

Virtual Server is equivalent to GSX/VMWare Server. VMWare released Server as free a while ago.

ESX however is still a charge item and runs far better/faster. Seriously, would you want virtualization on a poor OS like Windows?!

Well, you know some folks. They have Windows already and this addition is free. OR, they have Windows already and it is from Microsoft so they MUST work well together, right? (Please see BOB and ME for reference). OR, that means I would have to learn something right? Uhm, nevermind then. OR, they really are a part of that segment that could not install something if their lives depended on it and it was not coloured coded to know what plugs into what.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... *wipes away a tear*

You really believe that eh? :D

Uh huh. To give you an idea of how real that statement is... a colleague got the following today in a call with a client:

“To be honest, I have no idea what I’m doing, I don’t believe you can learn anything from reading manuals”

Followed by:

“We just spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on these Dell 68 bit servers and they’re smokin’…”
